Lanark County Interval House is the only dedicated anti-violence agency in Lanark County supporting women and their children in managing and fleeing violence and abuse. The organization provides emergency shelter, counselling, safe planning system navigation, community children and youth outreach services and sexual assault support.

The Lanark County Interval House team of employees strives as a team to create a soft place for women and children to fall when fleeing violence. The team is works with each other on a regular basis to ensure the aspects of the house are managed in order to provide the best care for our clients. Not all clients of LCIH stay here some are outreach and hours are spent supporting these woman day or night and in some cases the middle of the night. All members of the LCIH team go above and beyond their daily roles to support each other their residents and the community. The organization is an active group in the community owns and operates a business in the downtown, offers regular volunteer and educational opportunities for youth and adults. The organization over the years has mentored and supported residents who are now Crisis Councillors for LCIH and offer the support many women need to gain a life free of violence. LCIH provides cooperative education experiences for post secondary students who are entering the field of social services and more.
