Tell us about your business. What is your product, what service do you provide?
Black Tartan Kitchen is a casual fine dining restaurant in the heart of downtown Carleton Place. Our menu celebrates the current season and showcases local products from Lanark County and the Ottawa Valley.
Who are your clients?
Our clients are the reason we strive to create the best dining experience we can. They come from Carleton Place, Ottawa and beyond looking for great food, polished service, and an elegant yet relaxed atmosphere.
Why is customer service important to your business? (Who are the customers served? What are their needs? What are the challenges of serving them?)
Since we at Black Tartan Kitchen are in the hospitality industry, customer service is the cornerstone of our business. Our customers come for various reasons: for casual lunches and dinners, romantic evenings, parties, special occasions and their needs and expectations are diverse. We are constantly challenged to cater to specific dietary requirements and restrictions (including food intolerances and allergies). We strive to satisfy all customers’ needs and we go out of our way to ensure that customers feel comfortable bringing forward special requests.
In your opinion what is exceptional about the quality of service you offer? (What makes your business different from its competitors? Why should clients come here instead of somewhere else? What does your business do better than anyone else?)
What makes Black Tartan Kitchen’s service exceptional is the lengths we will go to satisfy a special request from our customers. We have taken on any challenge presented to us, including recreating a special dessert that a client had experienced forty years previously for a special anniversary or creating a custom event menu with creative one-of-a-kind dishes that follow particular themes (a most recent example was a menu inspired by haute couture fashion designers). We also pride ourselves on being very familiar with our regular customer base: knowing their favourite drinks, dietary restrictions, and remembering dates of significance (birthdays, anniversaries). Our goal is to make our customers feel not only welcome but completely at home, whether they are first time or returning customers. No matter who you are, you can always expect the service at Black Tartan Kitchen to be warm, friendly, and familiar.

I carry women’s and men’s quality footwear in a wide variety of sizes and widths.

Women and Men of all ages.

Customer service is important because if you find shoes that fit properly and they are happy with them they will come back the next time they need something.

Offer personal service, and find footwear that fits comfortably and if necessary order something that will be suitable.

We provide financial accounting, tax compliance and tax planning services to a wide range of small to medium size businesses.
Who are your clients?
Small to medium size businesses and their owners as well as not-for-profit organizations and personal tax clients
Why is customer service important to your business? (Who are the customers served? What are their needs? What are the challenges of serving them?)
In addition to assisting organizations with their financial reporting requirements, we take great pride in trying to save them money in every way.
In your opinion what is exceptional about the quality of service you offer? (What makes your business different from its competitors? Why should clients come here instead of somewhere else? What does your business do better than anyone else?)
We strive to help our clients meet their various financial reporting and tax filing deadlines while looking for any way that we can save them money. We are able to do this at what we consider to be a very reasonable cost to our clients.

Stonefields Estate

Established in 2010 and located in Beckwith, Ontario, Stonefields Estate has become one of Canada’s finest wedding venues. Owners Stephanie and Steve Malenfant have channeled their passion for celebrating life’s most precious moments into creating an intimate space where love is celebrated among family and friends. The Stonefields Experience combines country charm with white-glove service and features everything you need for your wedding day.

Our clients get exclusive use of the Stonefields Estate and a team of dedicated staff to help their wedding day run smoothly. Our packages include facilities for wedding party preparation, furnishings, a Red-Seal certified culinary team and commercial kitchen, bar service, choice of ceremony locations, overnight accommodations, and so much more.

Who are your clients?
The Stonefields Estate was designed with engaged couples in mind. We welcome couples from Ottawa and surrounding area, across Canada, and even overseas. Many of our weddings are considered destination weddings. Each couple is looking for a stress-free wedding experience, from planning to the day-of execution, especially those who live far away.

From the moment Stonefields was born in 2010, we knew that we wanted to offer our clients an unforgettable wedding experience. Our brand and reputation are built on our ability to combine high standards and a loving attention to detail. We approach customer service with a warm, personal approach, yet everything is executed with military precision.

The Stonefields Experience starts with exceptional customer service for all potential clients from the moment they contact us. We spend a year or more with our couples – providing a tour of the Estate, offering food and beverage tastings, orchestrating the wedding rehearsal, and hosting their special celebration. We recognize that the planning process is an important part of the overall wedding experience, and we to strive to deliver a service that is all-encompassing, stress-free, helpful, personalized and caring.

Our couples come to Stonefields with their own individual tastes, traditions, styles and personalities. We help them find ways to express themselves and reflect their own personal love stories. We also help couples make their wedding day as comfortable and memorable as possible for their friends and families. We really get to know our couples, listen to what they want, and coordinate everything down to the smallest detail. We are constantly looking for new ways to delight our couples and their guests.

When we built the Stonefields Loft in 2016 as our main venue, we were able to elevate the experience that much more with our new culinary team and commercial kitchen, giving us complete control over the quality of the food, menus, preparation and service.
