The Carleton Place & District Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce the winners of the 11th Annual Business Awards of Excellence. These prestigious awards aim to recognize and honour the remarkable achievements of businesses that have demonstrated excellence and innovation in our community.

Business of the Year: Recognizing businesses that exemplify leadership, creativity, innovation, performance, and benevolence. The winner is clearly viewed by peers as a local leader in business excellence and has demonstrated the best aspects of an entrepreneurial spirit.

The nominees are: Freska Cafe & Eatery, Donna MacDonald, Ottawa Mortgage Market/Mortgage Alliance, LBL Excavation and Trucking, Sunrise Lasers and Medical Aesthetics

And the winner is: LBL Excavation and Trucking

Community Impact: Honoring businesses that have made significant positive contributions to the local community through their initiatives and outreach.

The nominees are: Thomas Cavanagh Construction Ltd, Foundry Collective & Coffee Bar, All Purpose Towing, Rental Village, Costello Family Dentistry, and Maverick’s Donuts Carleton Place

And the winner is: Thomas Cavanagh Construction Ltd.

Entrepreneur of the Year: Honours an individual or company that has demonstrated extraordinary and significant entrepreneurial success in growing a business.

And the nominees are: Maker’s Lodge, Deadly Grounds Cafe, and LDR Electric, The Positivist Group

And the winner is: Deadly Grounds Cafe

Solopreneur Excellence: Honours an individual business owner who is a community leader and who has been successful in their own business, has helped other companies succeed and has taken a very active part in contributing to the Carleton Place & District community.

The nominees are: Hemmings Media, The Marketing Station, Crummy Media Solutions, and Wendy Martin Financial. 

And the winner is: Crummy Media Solutions

Team/Employee of the Year: This award recognizes an individual or team nominated by their peers who clearly demonstrates loyalty, exceptional performance and overall contribution to their organization.

The nominees are: Sagar Indian Cuisine, Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital Foundation, Lakeside Shawarma and ProActive Athletic Therapy

And the winner is: Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital Foundation
