Taste Blooms is a pastry shop and eatery that offers French pastries, breakfast, lunch, and meals to go! They also provide catering for special events and offer custom orders such as cakes, pies, and cupcakes.
Every Thursday, Taste Blooms offers a different fresh salad-inspired Buddha Bowl, which seems to be a fan favourite! You definitely don’t want to miss out on Buddha Bowl Thursdays! Grab one and enjoy it on their lovely, quiet patio on a sunny day!
On top of having a wide variety of food and pastries, they are very accommodating for special dietary needs! They offer some nut-free items for those with allergies and also have keto, vegan and gluten-free options so that everyone can enjoy a special treat!
Having opened in 2020, Taste Blooms is a fairly new addition to downtown Carleton Place. Although, as their slogan suggests, they must truly be “making life sweeter” as they have already become a must-visit shop according to many locals. They were even nominated in three categories for the Canadian Gazette Reader’s Choice Awards 2021 and were voted best bakery, cakes/ cupcakes, and dessert.
The owner, Tamara Chambers, received her Grande Diplôme, which combines both the Diplôme de Cuisine and the Diplôme de Pâtisserie, from Le Cordon Bleu Ottawa.
