Formerly the Queens Hotel, the Queens Crafters and Antique Market has been re-born as a quaint and cozy marketplace that showcases a wide range of pieces from local artisans and makers as well as a unique collection of antiques.
The Market officially opened last summer with the help of local vendors who moved their products into the building.
The Queens Market has a vast selection of unique and varied merchandise including vintage style signs, antique furniture and trinkets, photography, art, clothing, jams, jewelry, and more.
Fans of the market describe it as, “ a great open atmosphere. Full of local talent and antique treasures. Perfect for handcrafted gift-giving.” and praise owners Diane and Donna as customer service oriented and eager to help. “There are so many great things. Always something new and cool to see every time I go in.”
The market has floating vendors and items on display depending on the season and features special holiday and Christmas markets. Adorable gifts and decorations can be bought for Christmas, as well as Halloween, Easter and even Valentine’s Day.
Group crafting events are held from time to time to connect local crafters and makers to groups and individuals who want to flex their creative muscles and create their own take-home pieces. Workshops are also held in the shop so less experienced crafters can learn the tricks and tips to crafting pieces that they will be proud to display.
The Queens market is always accepting new vendors, and the owners can be contacted at 613-253-5333.
The market is located at 142 Bridge Street and for more information and updates visit their Facebook page The Queens Crafters and Antique Market (@thequeenscraftmarket).
