How do you choose where you want to live? There are many factors in this decision – familiarity, lifestyle, cost, and amenities, just to name a few. The ability to access health care and services that your family will need – check. The Exit Realty Vision team understands that great communities attract residents naturally, and so they are committed to helping make our community even better. Their latest project? Well, they are supporting the Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital Foundation through the sponsorship of the Community Rocks Bonspiel as Title Sponsor, but further, they have just launched a new series of Free Information sessions to help seniors and families navigate retirement living and downsizing.

Local EXIT Realty Vision broker and franchisee Wendy Ronberg is the lead on these expert-led seminars, and her enthusiasm and passion for giving back to her community are infectious. To Wendy, it’s not just about real estate transactions, it’s about supporting her clients and the communities they live in. She also coaches her team to make the community a better place by volunteering, engaging in events, and ensuring that clients’ needs are taken care of by providing resources to connect them to services within Carleton Place and District.

Their latest local initiative focused on helping seniors and their families navigate retirement living and/or downsizing is geared at providing tangible information on how to manage logistics through the process, make it less stressful, and maximize the equity in your home.  Together with healthcare experts and professionals including lawyers, contractors, and movers, Wendy and the Exit Realty Vision team hope to inform residents and make the transition easier. Seminars are set to take place on the last Tuesday of each month in various locations.

“Everyone’s situation is different, one family might want to add an addition for their parents to move into, another might want to downsize and buy a condo,” says Wendy. Their sessions will offer tips on preparing your home to sell, downsizing strategies, and community resources amongst other things, with the goal of easing the stress of making these big decisions.

The Spirit of EXIT Charitable Program makes it possible for EXIT Realty brokers and agents to raise funds for local charities and submit a proposal for those funds to be matched. To date, more than $7 million has been allocated to charity. In addition to sponsoring and participating in the Chamber Community Rocks Bonspiel in support of the Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital Foundation, Wendy and her team will also be at the Carleton Place Arena Job Fair March 8th from 12:30 – 3:30 PM.
