Tourism Information Ambassador – Summer 2023
Part-time (26-32 hrs a week/10 weeks – must be available to work weekends)
Job Description
We are looking for a Summer Student with an interest in Tourism and Travel, who likes to show off our community. You will have a passion for fun and you are a creative thinker and you enjoy working in a front facing role. Great on a team, but motivated to work alone, you are a multi-tasker and like to keep busy.
What You’ll Do
Work one on one with the public to provide information and insight on local attractions, restaurants, and community assets
Create new itineraries for locals and visitors to explore the community safely
Write/edit tourism-related content for our website and social media
Work online to update directories and databases
Administrative support as required
The Skill Set Required
Strong oral and written communication skills
Exceptional knowledge of social media platforms
Creative and innovative thinker
Self Starter with the ability to work as a team
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including excel
